April Fools!
I’m not much for April Fools' Day pranks, but when my husband suggested this idea months ago, I knew I had to make it happen!
My printable life-size Goliath is the most popular product in my shop—it’s such a fun and memorable way to bring the Bible to life. Since it can take a few hours to assemble (depending on how you display it), I can’t even imagine how long a life-size ark would take to put together!
This year’s Victory in Jesus Vacation Bible School curriculum uses the life-size Goliath for Lesson 2: Victory over the Philistines. But I love seeing parents and Bible class teachers put a VBS-level amount of effort into teaching the Bible year-round! So much time and planning go into just a few short nights of VBS, but Bible learning can be fun any day of the year. How much more engaging would it be for our children if we brought that same energy to everyday Bible time? That’s one of the biggest reasons I started Families of Faith.
While a life-size Noah’s ark made from copy paper might be a bit unrealistic, it does make me wonder—what other life-size or giant printable illustrations would be fun for Bible time? Maybe a life-size ark of the Covenant? Or a giant statue like the one from Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in Daniel 2?
If you could make a giant printable Bible illustration, what would it be? I’d love to hear your ideas in the comments! Maybe I'll take some of these ideas and add them to the store!
